Educated at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, I studied in Illustration and Fine Art. I began my career as a conceptual illustrator for local clients. Upon developing my expressive style, I found an art representative and went national. Using pastels, gouache, and acrylics, and with my ability to play with light, color, and design, I can create whimsical or ethereal, and even serious moods in my pieces. I also stimulate my creativity by regularly interacting with students that I teach, as a guest instructor in the illustration department at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.

My illustrations have attracted national clients from corporate advertising, publishing, and editorial work. Some clients include Corona Beer (which won an Addy and Summit awards) , Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Marshall and Ilsley Bank, American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, Kraft Foods, Running Press, Y-me National Breast Cancer Organization, Miller Brewery, Harcourt Brace, Seattle Opera, VyStar Credit Union, Milwaukee County Zoo, Discipleship Journal, and many more.

At age 4 my passion for drawing began. As I have grown as a professional artist, I rekindled some of my child-like illustrative style and conceptualized it into “Poozie”. Poozie is a childhood nickname that my mom still calls me to this day.

My passion for art has shown success in many areas, from corporate ads, children’s books and drawing beautiful flowers. I put my heart and soul in every piece that I create. Nationally I am represented by Langley Creative in Chicago (312-782-0244), and Kimberly Boege in Arizona (602-265-4389). I have a studio gallery in the Milwaukee Metro Area. Some of my fine art pieces are shown in galleries throughout the country.
